Valencia Marathon Trinidad Alfonso
6 December 2026 · Valencia, Spain
pb courseiconic
The Valencia Marathon is a course engineered for speed — under 30 meters of elevation change across all 42 kilometers, which is why personal and national records fall here regularly. The finish is on a floating walkway at the City of Arts and Sciences, among Calatrava's futuristic structures. December still feels mild here, rain is rare, and the finisher bag waiting at the end holds a protein bar, water, a banana, and a persimmon — a small harvest celebration after the marathon.

Weather in December
Early December is usually mild and dry — 6–16°C, rain is rare. But 2025 turned unexpectedly hot, up to 27°C, so don't count on it every year.

Reviews
Darren Last (Last in the Race)2025
The hottest Valencia Marathon in a decade — 27°C instead of the forecast 24°C. Cramps hit from kilometer 34, but that famous blue water-crossing finish made it worth it.
Vikki Harper (My Running Journey)2018
The paella party was included in the entry fee — chicken paella, bread, an orange, water, and a radler. Valencia is beautiful and a little bit crazy — we love it.
