Media Maratón Ciudad de Valladolid
27 September 2026 · Valladolid, Spain
historicflatregional favoritepb course
The Media Maratón Ciudad de Valladolid takes place in late September through the streets of one of Castile's most historically significant cities — Columbus spent his final years here, and Valladolid once served as the seat of the Spanish royal court. The course passes through the Plaza Mayor, the first square of its kind in Spain, alongside a Gothic cathedral and Renaissance palaces that reflect the city's rich architectural history. Flat and fast, with more than three decades of history, the race draws over 2,000 participants each year and has become one of the most respected half marathons in Castile and León. The region's mild autumn weather is typically favorable for running, and it's easy to continue exploring the city over a traditional Castilian dinner afterward. For travelers, Valladolid offers a glimpse of an authentic, less touristy Spain with an extraordinarily rich cultural heritage.
