The Vejle Ådal Halvmaraton takes place in mid-October: 5 km, 10 km and a half marathon on trails through the Vejle river valley with steep wooded slopes — rare terrain in Denmark. The valley is especially beautiful in autumn: golden beeches, mist over the river and soft forest paths. Vejle has the wave-shaped Bølgen on its waterfront, with the Jelling rune stones (UNESCO) and Legoland nearby.
