The Vestingloop runs through the historic fortified centre of 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) — a city of bastions, the Binnendieze canals and the famous St John's Cathedral. The flat 5 and 10 km courses wind through old streets and along the water. Organisers bill it as the 'cosiest' run: a friendly atmosphere, plenty of spectator support and accessible distances for beginners. A good excuse to combine running with a visit to one of Brabant's loveliest historic cities.
