The LA21 Half Marathon of Vigo starts at Playa del Vao beach and finishes on Montero Ríos street in the center of Vigo, Galicia's largest port city. The route hugs the Atlantic coastline with views of the Cíes Islands and the Ría de Vigo bay. Vigo is known for its fishing port, canning industry, and proximity to the Cíes archipelago, often called the 'Galician Caribbean'.
