The Wayout Backyard Ultra takes place in spring near Silkeborg and is part of the worldwide Big's Backyard network. Backyard format: a 6.7 km loop every hour, on the hour, until only one runner is still going out. The loop follows forest trails by the lakes, and the winner can earn a place at bigger backyard events. Silkeborg offers lakes, Himmelbjerget, the Tollund Man museum and the paddle steamer Hjejlen.
