Wildstrubel by UTMB takes place in September on the border between the cantons of Bern and Valais and is part of the UTMB World Series. Six courses start from different resorts: the Wild 110 from Crans-Montana, 113 km with 6,600 m of climbing, the Wild 70 from Kandersteg, the Wild 55 from Adelboden, the Wild Glacier Marathon from Lenk, the Wild 25 from Leukerbad and the Wild 10 in Crans-Montana. The trails cross manicured alpine pastures, glacial plateaus and passes of the Wildstrubel massif with views of the Valais 4,000ers and the peaks of the Bernese Oberland. Crans-Montana is a sunny plateau above the Rhône valley with lakes and a golf course set against the Alps, and Leukerbad is famous for thermal springs, perfect for a post-race soak.
