The Wings for Life World Run is a global charity race in which the whole world starts at the same moment, and Poznań has traditionally hosted Poland's flagship run; the next edition is on 9 May 2027. There is no finish line: 30 minutes after the start a Catcher Car sets off, and your distance is however far you get before it passes you. Anyone can run, walk or roll, and 100% of entry fees and donations go to spinal cord injury research. The motto is 'run for those who can't', and the mood matches: thousands of people, smiles and a shared purpose. Poznań offers the Old Market Square with its goats on the town hall, Ostrów Tumski and St Martin's croissants.
