Wings for Life World Run – Zadar

Wings for Life World Run takes place in early May simultaneously around the world, and Zadar is one of the official locations. The format is unique: there is no finish line — half an hour after the start the Catcher Car sets off, and your race ends when it overtakes you, whether that is after 5 km or a marathon. According to the organisers, Zadar is the only official course that runs along the sea all the way from the start. Seasoned runners, beginners and wheelchair participants all take part, and 100% of entry fees go to the Wings for Life foundation for spinal cord injury research. Zadar has the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun, the Roman forum and St Donatus Church, with Paklenica and Kornati national parks nearby.
