Bergen's Winterrun is an early-February evening run on an illuminated course with fire arches, light shows and DJs. Choose 5 or 10 km through the city between its famous seven mountains and the Hanseatic Bryggen wharf. It's a mass celebration for everyone rather than a competitive race — a warm-spirited event in the darkest season and a neat excuse for a short winter break in Norway's gateway to the fjords.
