Žumberak Trail takes place in late June in Žumberak–Samobor Highlands Nature Park near Zagreb; 2026 saw its fourth edition. The main race is 35 km (+1,800 m) from Dragovanščak to Jastrebarsko, the 22 km half marathon (+1,100 m) starts in Ivančići, and there are also a 15 km Active Trail and an 8 km Fun Trail looping around Jastrebarsko. The routes run through forests and over ridges, are ITRA-certified, carry UTMB Index points and belong to the Salomon Trail Running League SLO/CRO. It is a green, shady race in wine country on the Slovenian border. Jastrebarsko is a wine town with the Erdődy castle and trails up into Žumberak, and nearby Samobor is famous for its kremšnita custard cake.
